MEDICAL MARIJUANA

Legalization and acceptance of medical marijuana has reached the large majority of our country. Over 35 states already actively use medical marijuana successfully for dozens of conditions in tens of thousands of patients. Cannabinoids, chemicals found in marijuana such as cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), can provide relief to patients suffering from anxiety disorders, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and over 20 other conditions. They act on the Endocannabinoid System naturally found throughout our bodies causing various effects, many of which are clinically useful in alleviating symptoms found in common disorders. Cutting edge physicians, such as Dr. Scaffidi, recognize medical marijuana’s clinical value and have been specially trained to recognize who can benefit from it and certify them for its use.

2. GET CERTIFIED

Get Certified by Dr. Scaffidi, who is one of the few specially trained doctors who recommend medical marijuana for a patient that will benefit from its use. This can be done in-office or with telehealth, and your medical history must be available. The prepaid fee for this is $200 (card) or $180 (cash/Venmo: John-Scaffidi/CashApp: $JohnScaffidi). Renewals of unexpired cards are $150 (card) or $140 (cash/Venmo/CashApp).

There are many qualifying conditions that are permitted in PA: Anxiety Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD), Chronic pain, Crohn’s Disease, Autism, Epilepsy, Glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Terminal illness, Tourette syndrome, and more.

3. GET YOUR ID CARD

Once your certification is complete, you will receive an email explaining that you may pay for your medical marijuana ID card. You will go back onto the patient registry in step 1, log into your account as a returning user and pay the state $50 for your ID card by clicking, ‘make payment’. It will then be mailed to your address and received within 1-2 weeks.

4. GET YOUR MEDICAL MARIJUANA

Get your Medical Marijuana by visiting a PA dispensary near you once you have your card. There is a list at the same website above. Be sure to make an appointment for your first visit, because you will need to discuss what strain and form of medical marijuana will be best for you with the provider or pharmacist there. Many dispensaries require this.
